New Life Community Health Center

Serving Uninsured Immigrants

It’s Our Mission:

Compelled by Christian Faith, in partnership with New Life Fellowship, New Life Community Development Corporation and others, we seek to see lives transformed through the provision of ongoing excellence in healthcare oriented to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of immigrants and the under-insured of west/central Queens in New York City.

Since its inception in 2000, the health center has served over 4,800 immigrants and uninsured individuals through its outdoor community health fairs. In March 2005 free drop-in clinic hours were established on Tuesday nights and Saturday mornings that provide 3,000 patient visits annually.

Questions? We have answers!

Question: Must I make an appointment?

Answer: Making an appointment is easy!

You can go to our Patient Portal and register by clicking on the "Sign Up Today" link at the bottom of the screen. From the patient portal you can then send a message requesting an appointment. You can always contact the health center during our hours of operation at 718-565-9844 if you have any questions or are unable to complete your registration in the patient portal.

Once you've met with your care team and established a Primary Care Provider (PCP), a member of your care team will make sure that you can set all future appointments through the patient portal. Please use the portal for faster access when making future appointments.

If you cannot make your scheduled appointment for any reason, please call us in advance to cancel the appointment so we can make that time available for someone else who needs care.

Drop-in visits will be handled on a first come first served basis after patients with appointments have been served.

Question: Who is providing the medical care?

Answer: All medical care is provided by volunteer doctors, dentists, nurses and physician assistants.

Question: How much does it cost?

Answer: All services at our health center are FREE at this time!

Question: Will I be referred to a specialist if I need follow up care?

Answer: We will do our best to network you with Elmhurst Hospital. However, there will be a charge for visits to the hospital without insurance.
