NLCHC is the by product of the desire to launch international medical mission teams. In the late nineties, as nurses from New Life Fellowship were wrestling with launching a medical missions team to the Philippines, the needs of the Elmhurst community led to the establishment of the health center. Since our inception in 2001, we have served individuals from 111 different countries of origin.

  • One of our original leadership team members, Jeannette Felix, has now established a ministry in Haiti - Children in Need Haitian Project. We have committed to send financial resources, medical teams, and supplies as Haiti seeks to rebuild. To learn more about this ministry go to http://cinhp.org/
  • We have also built a partnership with Danielle Butin of the Afya Foundation in Yonkers, NY. Afya sends medical equipment and supplies to third world countries and countries who have experienced natural disasters. If you have access to major allotments of medical equipment and supplies they can facilitate large quantities. To learn more about this organization go to http://www.afyafoundation.org/
  • Two of our volunteers are now serving overseas in medical missions and many of our volunteers participate in short-term medical mission teams. Dr. Agustin Sanchez, our first Medical Director, takes several international medical mission trips a year. Check back here for post trip updates and future trips.
