Services

There are four primary elements to the NLCHC services.

  • Tuesday night and Saturday drop-in clinic services
  • Thursday Women's Health Services by appointment only
  • Summer outdoor community health fairs
  • Seasonal community preventative health education and cancer screening programs
Currently, the dental suite is not open. We intend to reopen two Tuesday nights per month for basic dental services and cleanings in the near future. Dental patients are required to receive a medical screening prior to their first dental appointment. The dental services require appointments be made in advance.

Our social work office is open on most days that the health center is open. Counseling and referral services are provided by our social workers and graduate student interns.

Between May and September outdoor health fairs are scheduled in the community. Many times these health fairs are offered in conjunction with our churches or community organizations. Schedules and locations will be listed on the events page and our facebook site.

A series of health talks are provided between September and May at the Boulevard Family Shelter on Queens Boulevard and for clients of the New Life Food and Clothing Pantry.

Mammogram screenings are offered annually. Flu-shots are provided in the fall before winter. We also hold an annual blood drive in April.
