On Sunday, April 6 the New Life Community Health Center sponsored its first Blood Drive. Nearly ninety individuals signed up to give blood. The eighty two members who participated were able to contribute seventy three pints of blood. Everyone who gave blood will receive two FREE Mets tickets for an upcoming game. 

 

New York City needs 2,200 pints of blood daily to meet the needs of our local hospitals. Nationally, five percent of the population regularly give blood. Unfortunately, that number drops to two percent in New York City. One pint of blood can save three lives.
