Annual Metro NY Christian Healthcare Workers Dinner
On Saturday, September 24 the health center celebrated eleven years of service to the community and held the 9th annual Metro NY Christian Healthcare Workers Dinner.
The dinner was originally started to attract Christian healthcare workers to the vision and mission of serving the poor and marginalized. Over the years the dinner has transitioned to also be a place of updating our financial supporters on the progress of the health center and to recognize key volunteers and others who are serving.
This year’s speaker was Dr. Elizabeth Simon who is the Dean of Nyack College’s Cheryl Phenicie School of Nursing. Dr. Simon challenged the audience to let the compassion of Christ shape their service and interactions with patience.
